Food delivery
In 2018 food delivery in Suriname got a new player: Fooddelivery.sr. Till 2018 you could order pizzas at the local pizzarias or phone a restaurant and call a taxi to collect the food for you. Let me share some information with you.
All the delivery companies and restaurant ask srd 12,50 (about euro 1,50 or usd 2.00 for delivery)
Fooddelivery.sr
A new commer in the food delivery market in 2018. And a great one. Order food online from restaurants in your neigbourhood. A good working app with a clear ordering process and a good follow up after you places your order. After a few minutes after ordering you get a message (via the app and email) that the restaurant has accepted your order and time how look it take for the food to be prepared. The second update is when your food is leaving the restaurant. On your smart phone there is online accurate tracking. When the tracking shows it is in your street, walk already to the gate because they are really there.
A minus is that you get only shown restaurants in a certain radius around you, this radius I find to small. I find all restaurant in a radius of approximus 15 minutes delivery should be shown
To install the app go to your appstore and search for 'Fooddelivery.sr'. Order online via www.fooddelivery.sr. Via de website is ook een live chat beschikbaar voor vragen.
U kunt ook eten bestellen bij aangesloten restaurant die (volgens fooddelivery.sr) te ver weg zijn voor bezorging, u moet dan kiezen voor de optie 'Afhalen'. Om het toch bezorgd te krijgen kunt u een taxi bellen die bij u het geld komt ophalen, naar het restaurant rijdt om te betalen en op te halen, en vervolgens naar u terugrijdt en vervolgens de rit met u afrekend.
Bingo Pizza
Bingo Pizza is pizzaria restaurant with there own delivery. The have also a good working app. In the app you can choose from their pizzas, some with a suriname twist, like bbq chicken and smoked chicken. In the app you place your order, address, phone number (always give a surnam number) and desired delivery time. After a few minutes you get a call (that is why the surinam number is important, they do not call foreign numbers) to comfirm with you the orderded pizza(s) and delivery time. When you choose delivery as soon as possible the pizze will be delivered within 45 minutes.
Search in the app store for 'Bingo Pizza'. Because they are a normal restaurant you can also call them on 439333.
Pizza Hut
The pizza company with the big brand, but unfortunally in Surinam with a bad service. No app and the delivery times are between 90 minutes to more than 2 hours. We even had once that after confirming 2 times by Pizza Hut the order was on the way, they say the 3th time we called that the order was missing and no pizza was made.

A minus is that there is a very limited restaurants present. A plus is pre-ordering, when the restaurent is not open yet, you can already order. With 'real' restaurant it is also possible to make a table reservation.
