Algemene voorwaarden
- Wanneer u een reservering maakt bij Kekemba, wordt u geacht dit algemene beleid te hebben gelezen (en ook het annuleringsbeleid ). Een link naar ons beleid is ook aanwezig op de boekingsbevestiging.
- In deze voorwaarden wordt onder de client verstaan de natuurlijke of rechtspersoon die het appartement of de appartementen voor zichzelf of voor een aantal reizigers / gasten reserveert, die als een groep moeten of kunnen worden beschouwd.
- De klant is aansprakelijk voor de nakoming van alle verplichtingen die voortvloeien uit de overeenkomst.
- De bevestiging van de reservering door Kekemba is het bewijs voor het sluiten van de overeenkomst voor de klant.
- Een aanbetaling is vereist om uw reservering te garanderen (20% van het totale bedrag). De eindbetaling uiterlijk 30 dagen voor het inchecken. Als de boeking minder dan 30 dagen voorafgaand aan de incheckdatum wordt gemaakt, moet de volledige betaling bij de boeking worden voldaan.
- Pas na ontvangst van de aanbetaling is uw boeking een bevestigde boeking. Als voor uw betaling een andere gast die na u heeft geboekt, maar wij deze betaling eerder dan uw betaling ontvangen, kan uw boeking worden geannuleerd en wordt de later ontvangen vooruitbetaling aan u geretourneerd. Dit kan alleen gebeuren als u betaalt via overschrijving of contant betaling bij de receptie.
- Betalingen kunnen worden gedaan door ons geldige creditcardgegevens te verstrekken. We hebben een toeslag van 5% op creditcardbetalingen. Creditcardbetalingen worden verwerkt in USD (Amerikaanse dollar). Voor het bepalen van de wisselkoers tussen Euro en USD gebruiken we de website www.coinmill.com. Creditcardkosten zijn onderhevig aan extra valutaconversies door banken en / of creditcardmaatschappijen, die niet onder onze controle vallen en die van invloed kunnen zijn op het bedrag dat in rekening wordt gebracht op uw creditcard.
- Als u liever via bankoverschrijving betaalt, kiest u in het laatste scherm van het boekingsproces de optie 'Offline payment'. Onze Nederlandse bankrekeninginfo wordt getoond en deze info wordt ook afgedrukt op uw reserveringsbevestiging. Dit bespaart u ook 5% creditcardkosten, maar eventuele bankkosten zijn voor uw rekening. Houd er rekening mee dat overschrijvingen binnen de eurozone zonder extra kosten zijn. We moeten de bankoverschrijving binnen 7 dagen na reservering ontvangen, anders behouden we ons de mogelijkheid om de reservering te annuleren.
- U kunt ook via PayPal betalen. Kies in het laatste scherm van het boekingsproces de optie 'PayPal Payment'. De PayPal betaling wordt direct verwerkt en uw reservering is direct een bevestigde reservering. Kosten die PayPal u in rekening brengt zijn voor uw rekening.
- Als om de een of andere reden de volledige betaling niet is gedaan voor het inchecken, moet bij het inchecken de volledige betaling worden gedaan met contant geld, creditcard of bankpas voordat de sleutel van uw appartement wordt overhandigd.
- In de boekingsaanvraag kunt u een specifiek appartementnummer aanvragen. De meeste terugkerende bezoekers hebben hun favoriete appartement. We zullen proberen aan dit verzoek tegemoet te komen, maar kunnen dit niet garanderen.
- Boekingen van gasten die kort verblijven kunnen van appartementtype veranderen als dit in het belang van Kekemba is om de bezettingsgraad te verhogen. Elk nieuw toe te wijzen appartement zal altijd minstens hetzelfde aantal slaapkamers en badkamers hebben en minstens dezelfde bedconfiguratie hebben.
- We kunnen niet garanderen dat als meerdere afzonderlijke boekingen door dezelfde persoon / familie / groep zijn gemaakt, deze overnachtingen altijd in hetzelfde appartement plaatsvinden. De dag voor elke check-in bepaalt Kekemba welk appartement het meest geschikt is. Van elke afzonderlijke boeking, zullen de nachten natuurlijk in hetzelfde appartement zijn. Een appartementwissel kan daarom alleen plaatsvinden tussen de ene check-out en de volgende check-in.
- We behouden ons het recht voor om reserveringen te annuleren of te wijzigen wanneer blijkt dat een klant frauduleuze of ongepaste activiteiten heeft verricht of onder andere omstandigheden waarin blijkt dat de reserveringen een fout bevat.
- De klant moet bij vertrek en tijdens de reis in het bezit zijn van het nodige bewijs van vaccinaties. Voor klanten wier reserveringen elders dan in Suriname zijn gemaakt, betekent vertrek het vertrek naar Suriname. Kekemba is niet aansprakelijk voor de gevolgen die voortvloeien uit het niet uitvoeren van de vaccinaties of andere schade.
- De klant moet bij het reserveren in het bezit zijn van een geldig paspoort en / of identiteitsbewijs van de reizigers.
- Kekemba behoudt zich het recht voor om de reservering te annuleren in omstandigheden die het onmogelijk maken om op Kekemba te blijven en die uitsluitend naar goeddunken van Kekemba zijn. Kekemba is verplicht om de klant uiterlijk 3 dagen voor aankomst op de hoogte te stellen van de annulering en tegen terugbetaling van het volledige bedrag of een deel van de reissom.
- De klant (en / of groep) moet een reisongevallenverzekering met medische dekking en een annuleringsverzekering afsluiten.
- De klant (en / of groep) erkent en gaat ermee akkoord dat Kekemba niet aansprakelijk kan worden gesteld voor verloren, beschadigde of gestolen items. Als de klant een item achterlaat, is het zijn eigen verantwoordelijkheid om dat item op te halen.
- De klant (en / of groep) die in Kekemba verblijft en / of deelneemt aan een tour vrijwaart Kekemba van elke aansprakelijkheid die voortvloeit uit eventuele schade die door de klant (en / of groep) is opgelopen, voor zover enige aansprakelijkheid niet kan worden uitgesloten of beperkt door wet. Wij zijn ook niet aansprakelijk jegens u voor enige speciale, indirecte of gevolgschade. Als u ondanks het voorgaande toch nog steeds vindt dat u in aanmerking komt voor een schadevergoeding, kunt u dit binnen een (1) maand nadat het voorval zich heeft plaatsgevonden schriftelijk en met redenen omkleed indienen bij Kekemba. Klachten die niet tijdig zijn ingediend, kunnen niet worden verwerkt. Mocht Kekemba desalniettemin uit clementie een bedrag betalen, dan zal dit bedrag nooit hoger zijn dan het totale bedrag dat is betaald voor de reservering waarop deze claim van toepassing is.
- Als een groepsreservering is gemaakt voor een reis en / of verblijf op Kekemba, wordt ervan uitgegaan dat de klant de reisvoorwaarden aan alle groepsleden kenbaar maakt en Kekemba daarmee vrijwaart voor alle schade die voortvloeit uit het niet naleven van het voorgaande. Kekemba voert zelf geen tours uit, maar is de tussenpersoon van een aantal touroperators. Als u klachten heeft over een tour, kunnen we u in contact brengen met de touroperator die de tour fysiek heeft uitgevoerd. Kekemba aanvaardt geen enkele aansprakelijkheid voor verlies, schade, ongeval en andere gebeurtenissen tijdens de tour.

Booking terms and Conditons
General Policy
- When making a reservation at Kekemba, you are deemed to have read these general policies (and also cancellation policies). A link to our policies is also present on the booking confirmation.
- In these conditions, the client is understood to mean the natural or legal person who reserves the apartment (s) for himself or on behalf of a number of travelers/guests, who must or can be regarded as a group.
- The client is liable for the fulfillment of all obligations arising from the agreement.
- The confirmation of the reservation by Kekemba is proof for the conclusion of the agreement for the client.
- A pre-payment is required to guarantee your reservation (20% of total amount). Final payment 30 days before check in. If booking is made less than 30 days preceding to check in date, complete payment must be done at booking.
- Only after receiving the pre-payment your booking is a confirmed booking. If before receiving your payment another guest has booked after you but we receive this payment before your payment, your booking can be cancelled and the later received pre-payment will be returned to you. This can only happen is you pay via bank transfer or via cash payment at the reception.
- Payments can be made by providing us with valid credit card information. We have a surcharge of 5% on credit card payments. Credit card payments are processed in USD (United States Dollars). For determination of exchange rate between Euro and USD we use the website www.coinmill.com. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks and/or credit card companies, which are not within our control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card.
- If you prefer to pay via bank transfer, please choose the option 'Offline payment' in the last screen of the bookings process. Our Dutch bank account info will be shown and this info will also be printed on your reservation confirmation. This will also save you 5% credit card charge, but any bank costs are for your account, please be noted transfer within the Euro-zone are without additional costs. We must receive the bank transfer within 7 days after reservation otherwise we reserve the option to cancel the reservation.
- You can also pay via PayPal. In the last screen of the booking process, choose the option 'PayPal Payment'. The PayPal payment is processed immediately and your reservation is immediately a confirmed reservation. Fees charged by PayPal are for your account.
- If for some reason the full payment was not done before check in, at check in the full payment has to be done with cash, credit card or debetcard before handed the key to your apartment.
- In the booking request you can apply for a specific apartment number. Most returning visitors have their favourite apartment. We will try to accommodate this request, but cannot guarantee it.
- Bookings of short-staying guests can change from apartment type if this is in the interest of Kekemba to increase the occupancy rate. Any new apartment to be allocated will always have at least the same number of bedrooms and bathrooms and have at least the same bed configuration.
- We do not guarantee that if several separate bookings have been made by the same person / family / group, these overnight stays will always take place in the same apartment. The day before each check-in, Kekemba determines which apartment is most suitable. Of each individual booking separately, the nights will of course be in the same apartment. An apartment change can therefore only take place between one check-out and the next check-in.
- We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.
- The client must be in possession of the necessary proof of vaccinations upon departure and during the journey. For clients whose reservations have been made elsewhere than in Suriname, departure means the departure to Suriname. Kekemba is not liable for the consequences arising from the failure to carry out the vaccinations or any other damage.
- The client must be in possession of a valid passport and / or proof of identity of the travelers when making the reservation.
- Kekemba reserves the right to cancel the reservation in any circumstances that make it impossible to stay on Kekemba and which are solely at the discretion of Kekemba. Kekemba is obliged to inform the client of the cancellation no later than 3 days before arrival and against a refund of the total or part of the travel sum.
- The client (and / or group) must take out a travel accident insurance with medical coverage and a cancellation insurance.
- The client (and / or group) acknowledge and agree that Kekemba cannot be held liable for lost, damaged or stolen items. If the client leave an item behind, it is the clients own responsibility to retrieve such item.
- The client (and / or group) staying at Kekemba and / or taking part in a tour indemnifies Kekemba from any liability arising from any damage incurred by the client (and / or group) save to the extent any liability cannot be excluded or limited by law. We will also not be liable to you for any special, indirect or consequential loss and/or damage. If, despite the foregoing, you still find you have a claim for damages, it can be submitted to Kekemba in writing with reasons within one (1) month after the event has taken place. Complaints that are not submitted in time cannot be processed. Should Kekemba nevertheless proceed to pay out a cash sum out of leniency, this amount will never be higher than the total amount paid for the reservation to which this claim applies.
- If a group booking has been made for a trip and / or stay on Kekemba, it is assumed that the client makes the travel conditions known to all group members and thereby indemnifies Kekemba against all damage resulting from non-compliance with the foregoing. Kekemba does not conduct tours itself, but is the intermediary of a number of tour operators. If you have complaints about a tour, we can put you in touch with the tour operator who has physically executed the tour. Kekemba assumes no liability for events during the tour.

A review on Tripadvisor
We have stayed here, with 2 children, 2 months. The apartment is excellent and fully equipped. And if something extra is needed, then just borrow it from Loyd and John (the owners). Furthermore, the site is well maintained and the pool lovely. Apart from the quality, also the atmosphere and the attention of the owners is of interest. Also this was top. We have enjoyed it and see you again about a year or 2 ;-)
